"We commissioned the Krishna-Leela for my mother's seventieth. The pallu is so detailed I asked the atelier for a translation of the panels. Wrapped in muslin, finished with a handwritten card from Subir Da. I have not unwrapped a parcel like that in twenty years."

"I draped it once for my anniversary and my daughter saw the pallu and said, 'this one comes to me'. Forty days of weaving — and three generations of women already counted into it."

"Six weeks from order to dispatch. The fall is heavier than I expected, which suits the pallu. A note for first-time Baluchari buyers — practice the pleats; the silk has a memory of its own."
