A ritual saree from the Murshidabad looms — undyed mulberry silk in the body, a single sindoor-red border, no other ornament. Worn at Mahalaya, Saraswati Puja, and the rites that ask for stillness.
Woven on the Patkabari pit-looms, where the warp is stretched outdoors at dawn so the silk takes its first colour from the sky. The border is dyed in a single open vat; no second batch is exact.
